Crocosaurus Cove vs. Shark Cage Diving

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of taking a vacation? For some people, it is a relaxing time of year and they like to just sit and watch the world go by in an area with beautiful surroundings. For others, however, vacation is more about doing something active and perhaps a little out of the ordinary. They may even want to get their blood pumping from the activity. If that describes you, there is something you have to try.

If you are going to be visiting the area of Darwin, Australia, you have the opportunity to get your heart racing in more ways than one. One of those options is to take a dive in a shark cage. The other option is to get up close and personal with a saltwater crocodile. Which one should you choose?

Taking a Look At Diving with Crocosaurus

Imagine going down into an enclosure for a full 15 minutes and coming face to face with a 5-meter crocodile! Not only will you be amazed at the size of this amazing creature, the fact that you are so close to such an animal is sure to be an experience you will remember for a very long time.

You can enter into this underwater environment on your own or you can go down with another person. In either case, you will be inside of the "cage of death" and will have a full, 360-degree view of the underwater enclosure.

Although you will be safe inside of the enclosed cage, you will feel as if you could reach out and touch these amazing creatures. They also offer a big crock feed and a 1.5-hour tour as a part of their VIP program. It is the only live saltwater crocodile dive provided in Australia.

Shark Cage Diving with Red Devil Charters

If the thought of diving underwater with a saltwater crocodile nearby excites you, imagine how you will feel when you go under the water with some tiger sharks swimming nearby. It is an out of this world experience, and one that you must do if you really want to enjoy an active vacation.

When you reach the area where you will enter the cage, the excitement starts because they start throwing out bait to attract the tiger sharks and to get them worked up for the show. As you can imagine, your heart will be beating hard in your chest, even before you are lowered into the water.

The shark cage is perfectly safe, of course, but it is quite different than the one offered in the underwater saltwater crocodile dive. The tiger shark cage is larger, so you can get four people into the cage at the same time. There is nothing quite like experiencing the thrill of being this close to a shark with someone you love.

If there are larger groups out to see the tiger sharks on any given day, the groups will be rotated through the cage every 20 or 30 minutes. Everyone will get the opportunity to be up close and personal with these amazing creatures.

Diving into the depths of the sea in a shark cage is an experience that very few people are able to enjoy in their lifetime. When you take this trip with Red Devil Charters, however, the shark cage is only part of the enjoyment of the day. In fact, it is a full day of fun and adventure that begins with bacon and egg breakfast and continues with an hour-long ride on the ocean to reach the shark-infested water. Other options offered include morning and afternoon tea, lunch and all of the diving equipment needed for this adventure. They even have a liquor license so that you can enjoy a beer during this unique outing.

Which should you choose, Crocosaurus or Red Devil Charters shark diving?

The choice of whether to visit the prehistoric crocodile or to swim with the sharks can be a difficult one to make both of them have their own appeal.

Many of our clients have done both and loved each experience. Going home from your vacation saying that you dived with Crocs and Tiger Sharks is an incredible achievement and the memories will last a lifetime.
